Demand Planner plays a crucial role in managing the forecasting and demand planning activities within the designated company’s products scope. Mission is to ensure that the company can deliver products to meet customer demand while minimizing costs and maximizing profitability. They focus on data analysis to identify trends and optimize the demand planning process. The main responsibilities of a Demand Planner includes:
- Collaboration with sales, marketing and production teams to understand customer demand and ensure that allocation management is effectively integrated into company’s overall business strategy
- Utilizing data lakes and crunching techniques to analyze customer orders, to understand market trends, and other relevant data to forecast demand accurately.
- Identify and communicate changes in demand patterns or customer behavior that may impact the business, and recommend appropriate adjustments to the forecast.
- Developing and implementing allocation policies to optimize resource utilization, reduce cost, and improve accuracy
- Continuously monitoring and assessing demand planning processes and making recommendation for improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct S&OP/S&OE meetings with cross-functional teams, to ensure allocation, production and inventory levels are optimized and aligned with demand.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on demand planning performance, sales levels and other relevant metrics.
- Preparing data analysis on various topics, uncovering process bottlenecks or possible process improvements.
You will be reporting to Head of Demand Planning and your colleagues within the team are based in Belgium, Spain, Poland.

We are looking for a person who fits the following requirements
- Self-organized, accountable, target oriented with strong analytical skills with ability to work in a fast-paced-environment.
- Proficient communication skills with fluency in English and at least in one of other languages pool ( Dutch, French, German)
- Computing skills including Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP would be an advantage
- Ability to build relationships and consensus
- Flexible team player
- Graduate with minimum bachelor’s degree. Masters degree or equivalent knowledge in steel industry may also be preferred.
- Experience in commercial or supply chain area of responsibility would be an asset. the steel industry or a similar manufacturing industry is also preferred.
- May require occasional travelling to other ArcelorMittal plants in proximity
