Core Responsibilities
In this new position as Logistics Equipment Engineer, you will be working with technology platform groups within automated logistic equipment and systems. In this regard, you will be tackling issues and implementing solutions together with continuous improvement initiatives in the most productive and efficient way. More specifically, you will:
- Drive the development and innovation in specific technology platform areas and drive activities towards smaller and larger projects.
- Apply innovation to build results and improve machines, equipment, automatization and logistic processes.
- Identify opportunities and risk in functional areas and in general translating objectives into clearly defined short-term team results.
- Ensure technical specifications and documentation of technology platforms.
- Ensure coherence and teamwork across technology platforms within Manufacturing Design and Implementation (MD&I) department, Manufacturing/Shop floor, Engineering and Machine Safety, while building great relationships with all key partners and suppliers
- Build the expertise into business context and actively use functional expertise end-to-end with customer understanding.
- Obtain in-depth understanding of automatization, mechanical and electrical design principles.

You will join the growing Material Logistics Packing team in Billund consisting of 10 highly skilled colleagues. The team is part of the MD&I department being a global organization of project managers, technology managers and key specialists with wide knowledge and diverse set of backgrounds. The Logistics Equipment Engineer will be working with one or more strategic important logistics and packaging technologies, and in this way driving the defined global agenda. This will be with a primary focus on logistics and automated handling equipment.
Do you have what it takes?
The ideal candidate either comes with an engineering educational background as newly graduated and/or brings some years of hands-on experience within mechanical design, automation, robotics, logistic equipment and systems, machine safety or equivalent. Furthermore, you have:
- Proven hands-on experience with installation, commissioning and testing of automatic equipment on production shop floors and knowledge around the complexities
- Basis knowledge of logistics systems, databases, networks and applications
- Curiosity and interest into documentation work.
- Know-how on translating business processes to system and equipment requirements for development of automation solutions. Passionate about designing and testing automated solutions for complex tasks.
- Proficiency in English both verbal and written.
- Able to travel approx. 30 days yearly to abroad manufacturing sites.
